And forge a fun, free-form, harmonious design style inspired by what can be done with what is near at hand. This core motto sparked me as a young adult, for my first apartment and others to follow. To "dress" the space, I created slipcovers, pillows and curtains... cultivated found objects, tired-out furniture, thrift shop and flea markets finds, even humble roadside castoffs... all reclaimed, renewed, then reimagined.

The art of discovery still inspires today. A deep connection to craft. Years of voyaging on, to Hawaii, Asia, Europe, among many ports of call, these are the maps and charts, blueprints and drawings, of my life... and animate every project I do, always honoring timeless elegance, simplicity, sophistication... restoring a 70 year-old New Hampshire ski chalet... refurbishing a Martha's Vineyard beach cottage... staging a Palm Beach condominium... decorating an apartment in Florence, Italy... I share these snapshots, happily still dreaming away, still sketching the story.
